2019 was another year of strong growth at CardFlight. From new team members to welcome, traditions to kick off, and products to launch — there was a lot to keep us busy.
In this post, we reflect on how far we've come in the past year, break down some of the key metrics, and share a few stories along the way.
We reached a few big growth milestones in 2019. In addition to the stats below, we also earned a spot on the Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing companies for the second year in a row.
SwipeSimple was used by 60,000 merchants to process billions of dollars of transactions for small businesses. Here's how they paid (all numbers indicate year-over-year growth):
The CardFlight Crew consumed over 1,800 Nespresso pods — and that's only one kind of caffeine available to our hardworking developers, designers, sales associates, finance professionals, etc.
To wash it all down, we consumed 11,224 ounces (oz) of a diverse variety of milk and milk-adjacent products.
To coordinate all that milk drinking, we used Slack.
With all the leftover energy from the Nespresso pods minus all the Slacks sent, we socialized.
CardFlight executives and the Sales team are frequently on the road and in the sky, meeting with our partners around the U.S.

We work hard to make sure our signature product, SwipeSimple, delivers an easy-to-use experience for our merchants and their customers.
To achieve that objective, we made regular updates to SwipeSimple to support the latest iOS and Android devices and to provide additional features and services.
We put a big effort into scaling our ability to reach our audiences with compelling and informative content this year.
We launched Conversations with CardFlight, our original video interview series. We also created three explainer videos, which help convey the breadth of our product.
