SwipeSimple at your computer

SwipeSimple Web 6.0

Anticipated November 11, 2020, SwipeSimple 6.0 for at your computer payments will be released. This release introduces an elegant user interface that is easier for merchants to navigate and customizable report views.

SwipeSimple users with a Gateway merchant account will see two distinct sections:

SwipeSimple Web 6.0 is anticipated to be available to all SwipeSimple users on November 11, 2020.

Level III Interchange Qualification

Anticipated November 11, 2020, SwipeSimple for at your computer payments will feature Level III Interchange Qualification support on the Virtual Terminal for merchants running specific types of transactions and who process through certain processors. Qualifying Level III transactions may have lower interchange fees for business-to-business and business-to-government transactions.

This feature is currently available on merchant accounts that process through Worldpay from FIS, formerly Vantiv. As of 11/11,  this feature will also be available for merchant accounts that process through TSYS.

Payment Links

As of September 23, 2020, merchants can add a Payment Link from SwipeSimple on an external website, email, or newsletter.

SwipeSimple with Payment Links allows merchants to create a link so their customers can easily make a payment, submit a donation, or purchase selected items from a website.

With this release, merchants can also customize alerts in their Account Settings. Payment Links will automatically be available to all SwipeSimple gateway merchants and will not need to be configured by reseller onboarding teams.

Send Invoices via SMS

When using SwipeSimple at a computer, merchants can create, customize, and send invoices. As of September 23, 2020, in addition to sending invoices via email, merchants can text or send the invoice via SMS.

Enter a cash payment on Virtual Terminal

As of August 12, 2020, merchants can record a cash payment on the Virtual Terminal. Now, when taking a payment through SwipeSimple on a computer, merchants can choose to record the transaction as “Cash” and will not need to enter in the customers credit card information. SwipeSimple Mobile App

SwipeSimple Mobile V5.14.2

Anticipated December 2, 2020, the latest version of of the SwipeSimple Mobile App on iOS and Android is V5.14.2. This release will allow merchants enabled for Automatic Adjustment (as part of your cash discounting program) to experience the full SwipeSimple feature set.

We recommend all merchants using SwipeSimple Mobile App update to the latest version, V5.14.2, beginning December 2, 2020.

Automatic Adjustment on SwipeSimple Mobile

SwipeSimple Mobile V5.13.0 allows resellers to off SwipeSimple as part of their cash discounting program. For resellers that have a signed Automatic Adjustment Form on file, you can enable merchants with a SwipeSimple Gateway merchant account for Automatic Adjustment. This version is available as of July 14, 2020.

SwipeSimple Terminal App

SwipeSimple Terminal App update

Anticipated December 2, 2020, the most recent version of SwipeSimple Terminal App will be V5.14.2. This release includes minor product improvements for enhanced merchant experience.

Post-Authorization Tip Adjust

As of July 22, 2020, SwipeSimple Terminal supports merchants needing the ability to accept tips after transaction authorization for all merchants. When enabled for Post-Auth Tip Adjust, a tip line will print on every transaction receipt and customers can write in a tip amount after a transaction has been processed.

With Post-Auth Tip, merchants can add a tip to the transaction at a later time, making SwipeSimple a better fit for restaurant merchants. Resellers can now customize Post-Auth Tip settings for SwipeSimple Terminal merchants in SwipeSimple RAMP. Learn more in this release briefing.

BroadPOS App

New verified BroadPOS TSYS version

As of October 28, 2020, SwipeSimple Terminal V5.14.1 and above will be verified for use with BroadPOS TSYS V1.03.17E_20200918.

Latest verified BroadPOS Vantiv and Omaha versions

As of September 30, 2020, SwipeSimple Terminal is now verified for use with BroadPOS Vantiv V1.02.05E_20200804 and BroadPOS Omaha V1.04.11E_20200723.

For existing Terminal merchants:

We recommend updating all SwipeSimple Terminal merchants using BroadPOS Vantiv and BroadPOS Omaha to the latest version.
